Attempting To Increase Value To Your House

As a builder I am often asked as to what are the best ways of adding value to a home. So here we go - this will save me from having to continue to repeat myself in the future as I have decided to write an article which will include the answer that I normally give.

An area which is becoming more and more popular is the installation of electric underfloor heating and water underfloor heating. It is still quite rare to find this form of flooring within a home but we are likely to see it on a much more wide spread basis in the future. You can fully take advantage of the unique factor by having underfloor heating installed in a couple of the rooms of your property such as the bathroom and the conservatory.

Something which is not so unique but which can also increase value are loft conversions. It is important that you use an established company if this is something that is of interest to you and your family as I have seen and heard of many horror stories of what are known in the trade as "botch jobs". Once you have had this job completed the room can be used as an extra bedroom, a study room or a play room for your kids.

Many people see the kitchen and the bathroom as the two main "sale" rooms of a house. For this reason it is essential when selling a property to ensure that these rooms are looking top notch and certainly not dated to ensure that you obtain the best possible price for your house.

Finally is somewhere to park the car, this could be a garage or a drive. You will be surprised just how many properties do not offer this.
